    Counseling for Older Adults

Many older adults have never considered that mental health counseling can potentially mitigate emotional pain. OAC therapists works with older adults (55+) who are suffering from depression, anxiety, physical and mental health challenges, family conflict, bereavement, grief and loss. OAC specializes in working with this older adult population, providing a person-centered approach to each individual client.

    Counseling for Adults

OAC Therapists work with younger adults (ages 30+). Utilizing an individual person-centered approach and validated therapy strategies, OAC therapists foster insight and energy in working with younger adult clients. Therapy involves helping clients build positive self-esteem, improve personal and family relationships, and progress in realizing personal goals.

    Counseling for Families/Couples

OAC Therapists are available to work with families/couples for whom the aging experience is creating new and unexpected discord in their relationship. This may be due to outside influences, aging family member’s emerging needs, “empty nest” stressors, or emotional wariness. Oftentimes counseling can help bring into focus the underlying causes and provide relief and renewed incentive to regain harmony within the couple’s relationship.
