OAC is a professional mental healthcare practice offering counseling services to adults of all ages.  With a growing number of LCSW licensed clinicians on our  team, OAC therapists work with both individuals and groups to treat adult clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, medical issues and stressors, family conflict, bereavement, grief and loss.

OAC offers in-person therapy sessions in an office located in Fairfax, Virginia as well as Home visits.  Our therapists also provide telehealth therapy sessions for clients who lack transportation, or who are more comfortable working on-line with a therapist from the comforts of their own home.

    Counseling for Older Adults

Many older adults have never considered that mental health counseling can potentially mitigate emotional pain. OAC therapists works with older adults (55+) who are suffering from depression, anxiety, medical problems, family conflict, bereavement, grief and loss. OAC specialize in working with this older adult population, providing a person-centered approach to each individual client.

    Counseling for Adults

OAC Therapists work with younger adults (ages 25+.) Utilizing an individual person-centered approach and validated therapy strategies, OAC therapists foster insight and energy in working with younger adult clients. Therapy involves helping clients build positive self-esteem, improve personal and family relationships, and progress in realizing personal goals.

    Counseling for Families/Couples

OAC Therapists are available to work with families/couples for whom the aging experience is creating new and unexpected discord in their relationship. This may be due to outside influences, aging family member’s emerging needs, “empty nest” stressors, or emotional wariness. Oftentimes counseling can help bring into focus the underlying causes and provide relief and renewed incentive to regain harmony within the couple’s relationship.
